The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard floors. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is set up, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button. You can select a general clean that focuses on the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even clean up pet hair with ease. It's not able to work with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with a superior filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three times, even when you have maximum dirt.

For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it before moving on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong, such as low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be cleared out frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, taking debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, as well as an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural here voice assistant and an app that works even if you are not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too, and it boosts suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features you don't often see on robots of this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are useful but they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury, which might make it a little more expensive than some homeowners require.

Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's enhanced by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving through the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel is an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the settings menu in which you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
