It was less efficient on shag carpets, where it struggled to reach dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was able to navigate chair legs, small spaces as well as the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was a bit slower on flooring that was not fully covered however, it was able to recover speed and did better than other robots that we test.

The IQ is a better option than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a larger dustbin and lasts longer on charge and is more capable of getting around obstacles. It has mopping tools that can clean up sticky debris. On the other side, the iRobot feels better-built and has fewer components that require maintenance or replacement, incurs lower recurring costs and creates virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It can continue cleaning from the point it started, even if the battery is out before it finishes. The iRobot is also controlled by voice, which can be an enormous benefit for many users.

Eufy 11S

The eufy RoboVac 11S isn't the most feature-rich robot vacuum on the market, but it does offer excellent cleaning power at the price of. The RoboVac 11S is designed for consumers with a tight budget who do not require a complicated mapping system, or an app, to control it. In our tests, the eufy 11S was excellent at picking up larger particles and fine dust on hard floors. It was unable to thoroughly clean carpets with high and medium piles. The device is capable to bump into furniture and people along its route. However, it is able to detect obstacles using sensors. When it encounters them, it stops and lets out a loud sound so you can manually steer it around the obstacle and get it back to work.

Another fantastic feature of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode that allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust the strength of its suction to match the floor type and the level of mess. The remote control makes it simple to guide the 11S to the desired location.

If you don't have much furniture in the space where you're looking to vacuum, Single Room Mode is an excellent option. The eufy will take 30 minutes intensely cleaning the area it is assigned to.
